SCHOOLS ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR I CATHOLIC MISSION

Permanent position | Full time | North Sydney Location
  • Lead NSW/ACT schools engagement and grow participation
  • Drive Socktober campaign and student fundraising outcomes
  • Deliver workshops and build strong school partnerships

Your Impact
 
Inspire young people to engage with global mission and understand their ability to create meaningful change. You will lead how Catholic Mission connects with school communities across NSW/ACT, driving participation in programs like Socktober and bringing mission to life for students.
 
The Role
 
This is a dynamic, relationship-focused role leading Catholic Mission’s schools engagement across NSW/ACT. Based in Sydney, you will drive participation in key programs, deliver workshops and events, and build strong connections with school communities.
 
You will take ownership of the Socktober campaign in your region, growing awareness, engagement, and fundraising outcomes, while delivering impactful youth engagement experiences.
 
Specifically, you will:
 
  • Lead schools engagement across NSW/ACT
  • Deliver workshops, presentations, and events
  • Build and manage relationships with schools and stakeholders
  • Represent Catholic Mission across schools and community settings
  • Collaborate with national teams to align delivery

Catholic Mission is the Pope’s international mission agency in Australia, supporting grassroots projects in healthcare, education, and faith formation, while advocating for human rights.
 
With over 100 years in Australia and 200 years globally, the organisation partners with communities across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas.

What You Bring
 
You are an engaging communicator who can inspire young people and build strong relationships across school communities.
 
Your key experience and capabilities include:
​
  • Experience in education, engagement, fundraising, communications, or similar
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Experience delivering programs or campaigns
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Understanding of the Catholic education sector (desirable)
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSW/ACT
