As a Non-Executive Director, you will:

Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation providing culturally grounded out-of-home care and family support services for Aboriginal children, young people and families.
Working across Dharug, Gundungurra and Gadigal Nations, the organisation is grounded in culture, connection to Country, and the belief that strong identity and cultural continuity are central to healing and resilience.

This is a voluntary role. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed. Governance support, training and mentorship are available to all Directors.

The Role
As a Non-Executive Director, you will:
- Contribute cultural knowledge, lived experience and community insight to Board decision-making
- Participate in governance discussions across strategy, policy, cultural safety and impact
- Attend monthly Board meetings (in person or online) and prepare by reviewing papers
- Support the organisation’s commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and child safety
- Act as a cultural advisor and strengthen connection between Board, community and organisation
